How to send money with MTN MoMo

Sending on MTN uses *165#. The fee depends only on the amount, and it is the same for an MTN wallet or another network on the current tariff.

1. Dial *165# and choose Send Money.
2. Choose a mobile number, or the option for someone without mobile money if you are creating a voucher.
3. Enter the number and the amount.
4. Read the fee on the confirmation screen. It should match the MTN send table.
5. Enter your MoMo PIN. The receiver gets the full amount. Your wallet drops by the amount plus the fee.

Do not hand an agent a separate fee. MTN deducts charges from the wallet.
